Phaselis

Phaselis was built by the leader colonist Lakios in 690 (B.C). After a hundred years time from its foundation, Phaselis started to print its own sikkes. On one side, a figure of a ship's head and on the other side, a figure of a ship's back exist over these sikkes. In the mid 6th century as the persians took the control of south Anatolia again, the control of Phaselis, also passed to the Persians. The city, joined the Egypt Kingdom, the Rome Empire and Rhodos.
