Myra

What increased Nikalaus of Patara to the stage of 'Sainthood' and then the 'Father Christmas' was his belief in the importance of sharing what you own. Nikalaus, being born in the 3rd century, had had a religious education in a monastery in Ksanthos. In the years 290-280 he had come to visit his uncle who had let the Saint Syon Church built. After his uncle's death he became the metropolit of the same church. He, then was arrested as he choosed to live not according to the Rome his humanity and the spiritual, social sides of his character. Nikalaos was the man who provided the trousseau of the brides, who saved the little children from the hands of the cruel innkeeper, who was the shelter of the seamen who lost their way. Saint Nikalaos died in 345 (A.D) and was buried in a church in Myra. The bones of this man, who had given great importance to 'sharing', was stolen from his tomb and brought to Bari, Italy. Today, half of his bones are in Bari, and the other half are in the Museum of Antalya. And maybe some portion is in Myra. This happenning proves the monster's spirit that exist in human-beings. The simple tr).4th is that, The Saint's bones should be kept in his mainland.
